Joseph Morris,
My strength in nursing and also non-nursing positions has always been developing professional rapport with the folks and their families that I have served. I learned critical thinking and prioritization skills as well as knowing when to slow down and when a client needed that little bit of extra time and support.
I was never the best or smartest nurse and I have had the privilege of working and learning at many fine facilities. What set me apart was my willingness to go the extra mile for my clients, no one ever out-worked me..and if i did not know the answer I found someone or a source to get the answer.
I believe its all about clear effective communication with folks on whatever level they need, making sure they were as satisfied as they could be given their specific situation and needs. My biggest WEAKNESS: I am a perfectionist and while that is not a bad thing, I tend to be extremely critical of myself and push to be the best I can be many times before I have had a fair amount of time to reach those proficiency levels.
Given the opportunity I would bring this work ethic and style to a new profession and employer.
Staff RN on a step down from ICU type unit. Extremely busy and high acuity patients.
Very open to overtime opportunities once sufficiently trained and ready. Please confirm these statements with my professional references listed in this resume. Thank you for your time and consideration. Joseph S. Morris II
