Work History

IT Director

Phoenix Integrated Security
Wayne, MI
11.2025 - Current
  • As the IT Director for Phoenix, I am responsible for overseeing the planning, design, implementation, and management of technology systems that support both client security installations and internal business operations. My role includes managing the full lifecycle of projects, from developing bids and technical proposals to coordinating construction phases and final system deployment. I design and implement network infrastructures that support IP-based security systems, including CCTV, access control, and other integrated technologies, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. I oversee project personnel, including technicians, subcontractors, and engineers, assigning tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget while coordinating with construction teams and contractors. In addition to project oversight, I manage internal IT operations such as laptop and workstation provisioning, network administration, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining cybersecurity practices, and supporting employees with technical needs. My responsibilities also include system documentation, standards development, vendor coordination, and ensuring that all technology solutions align with operational requirements, industry standards, and company growth objectives.
  • Led development and implementation of IT security protocols to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Developed strategic IT plans aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Oversaw budgeting processes for technology initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Fostered relationships with vendors to negotiate contracts and streamline procurement processes.

Key Projects & Achievements:

  • Designed and oversaw 5G Mobile Surveillance Trailer builds.
  • Worked on and designed multiple Bids for different projects in the automotive sector, schools, police stations, parks, and even cities.
  • Oversaw the project for Oakdale Academy. Worked with contractors and school personnel to design and deploy 30 camera locations, redesign of the network closet including new servers, switches and UPSs, ethernet routing, power cord routing, shelf installations and more. Also worked with other contrctors to deconstruct and re-construct new structural pieces, removing foliage and more minor items. The school brings in roughly $30,000 annually and we only had to spend roughly $15,000 as one time cost including labor and hardware to accomplish this.
  • Oversaw the design for multiple Commerce Township Parks to place Mobile Surveillance Trailers to cover the entire area of these parks. In this we had 5 parks total to cover. For each park I designated an appropriate number of trailers based on the total amount of area needed to be covered, the angles in which the trailers could be placed to accomplish that, and a cost effective way to implement them on order to meet the Townships annual budget for security and software. In total, we placed 9 trailers across 5 parks and they effectively covered all necessary areas. I was able to strategically keep the annual cost down to roughly $23,000 annually which left us room to implement additional guard services for the parks.
  • Conducted risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies with teams at Ford for one of their offsite assembly lots.
  • Designed multiple camera and network layouts for different temporary offsites for Ford and GM. These sites are temporary sites that come and go based off the production at the assembly plants such as Michigan Assembly Plant or Pontiac Assembly Plant. The designs have prevented multiple break ins without the need for onsite personnel to detect. We strategically placed IR and Thermal cameras on the perimeter with AI analytics that designed for the cameras to detect certain breached thresholds.
  • Implemented cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive company data and maintain compliance with industry standards. I launched our first ever InfoSec program to help spread awareness to others on the importance of security and the threats we face as a larger technology based company.
  • Oversaw budget management for the IT department, allocating resources effectively while minimizing costs where possible.
  • Spearheaded the development and implementation of innovative software solutions, resulting in increased operational efficiency. Brought on central station software to tie in all of our networks into one single software for the SOC to monitor. This greatly optimized our efficiency across multiple sites and IOT devices. Our SOC is able to monitor each sites alerts through a single pane of glass essentially and the software also has the ability to alert via SMTP and text.
  • Reduced downtime and improved overall system performance by proactively addressing potential issues with network maintenance.

Security Technician

Rocket Mortgage
Detroit
06.2023 - 09.2024
  • Managed integrated access control systems, high-definition encrypted video surveillance, and network intrusion detection systems. Utilized SIEM platforms for event analysis and proactive incident response. Maintained secure communication platforms for confidential collaboration and safeguarded facility access using advanced authentication methods.
  • Performed installations of high-tech security systems, which included access and elevator controls, alarms and video surveillance systems

Key Projects & Achievements:

  • Overhauled 30,000+ camera network, upgrading TLS to 1.3, disabling HTTP, enforcing IP assignments, and updating SSL templates.
  • Onboarded and configured 8 new servers for Hudson Site in Downtown Detroit with BIOS updates, RAID 10, and Cylance security deployments.
  • Led DNS Cache Monitoring and Malicious IP Detection initiative combining Cisco Meraki, Razberi, and AXIS for anomaly detection.
  • Worked on the NFL Draft in Downtown Detroit to optimize 8 camera placements near the One Campus Martius building over watching parts of Woodward Ave. Collaborated with the NFL SOC they had setup in that building.
  • Worked on the Detroit Grand Prix in tandem with our SOC to troubleshoot and diagnose overnight issues at the venues with multiple network devices like repeaters, switches, and cameras.
  • Worked on the initial and final camera layout for Book Tower in Downtown Detroit. This building alone had over 200 cameras throughout the entire building. Once they were installed I worked on IP'ing the devices and setting them up on the corporate network. Worked with multiple Project Managers in order to accomplish this project.
