In the Neurosurgery service I serve in a hospital-based utility role. I divide my responsibilities between rounding, consultations/admissions and surgical first assisting. I support eight neurosurgeons, and am versed in a broad range of pathologies: including intracranial, functional, degenerative spine, acute trauma, pediatric and endovascular. I often serve as primary or secondary call for both the endovascular and neurosurgical services. Working closely with my supervisory physicians, I have experience and confidence in the treatment of a vast array of neurosurgical conditions.
Offer per diem night hospitalist coverage for Mercy Hospital in Portland, ME. Oversee the medical wards, and complete consultations and admissions as needed.

I worked in the Critical Care Service line since May of 2016, moving into the Lead position in February of 2022. I supervised and scheduled the department of approximately 8 PAs. I acted as a liaison between the PAs, doctors, and administration and manage administrative issues. Clinically, I performed daily rounds, charting, ordering and interpreting diagnostic labs and images, and closely manage critically ill and intubated patients. This includes the subspecialties of Neurocritical Care, Surgical Critical Care and the COVID ICU.

My function was to screen the medical suitability of potential tissue donors statewide. This involved discussing the potential donor's medical history and course with their clinician and interviewing family members in regards to the patient's medical history. I performed chart reviews, family interviews, and screenings to ensure medical suitability. I also coordinated the efficient recovery of donated tissues by working with hospital administration, country coroners, family members, and recovery teams.
I performed the surgical recovery of eye tissue for transplant. In conjunction with recovering tissues, I also performed a thorough chart review to ensure donor suitability and conformity to FDA regulations.
I managed the Source Water Quality Laboratory at the city water treatment plant. My responsibilities included the management of the staff, the budget, and the quality of results produced by the laboratory. The laboratory provided organic, heavy metal, and physical analyzes of drinking and source waters. I also provided support to the Boulder County Health Department Water Laboratory.
