Relevant Project Experience

  • Project Manager for the remediation of the Avalon Bay construction site in North Bergen, New Jersey. Implemented the removal of several leaking UST's, remediation of impacted soils, site capping of contaminated historic fill material, and performed health & safety oversight for all earthwork and final engineering controls onsite. Preparation of permits and Remedial Action Reports.


  • Project Supervisor for the remediation of pesticide, lead, arsenic, and PCB-impacted soils on over 100 acres of former farmland in Monroe, New Jersey. Coordinated and implemented all soil and groundwater sampling programs, supervised the excavation of impacted soils, soil capping (engineering control) activities, and prepared all associated reports, permits and regulatory reporting documents. Also responsible for the air monitoring program and acted as Health & Safety Officer for the site.


  • Project Manager for remediation of lead-impacted soils for several PSE&G utility right-of-way electrical tower sites throughout the State of New Jersey. Implemented and coordinated the site investigations, remedial investigations, soil sampling programs, ecological evaluations, sensitive receptor evaluations, soil remediation and regulatory reporting of more than 300 electrical utility lattice tower sites. Preparation of all Remedial Action Reports, and associated documentation as required by regulatory reporting agencies.


  • Project Manager for several PSE&G due diligence investigations, site remediation, and regulatory reporting for electrical infrastructure expansion projects in New Jersey.


  • Project Manager for a large-scale soil remediation effort in Rutherford, New Jersey. Conducted the Phase I ESA, Phase II sampling investigations, implemented and provided oversight for soil remediation activities, and reporting to the NJDEP for regulatory approval and closure.


  • Project Manager for soil remediation project in Kenvil, New Jersey. Conducted the Phase I Assessment, Phase II sampling efforts, site capping design and oversight, and regulatory reporting with the NJDEP for engineering controls and institutional controls to limit public exposure to soil contaminants.


  • Conducted ecological evaluations, threatened, and endangered species surveys, and wetland delineations for the PSE&G right-of way utility upgrade project throughout New Jersey. Surveyed over 100 linear miles of wetland and forested habitat for the identification of sensitive receptors.


  • Conducted several Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and/or Preliminary Assessments, many of which required Phase II Investigation and subsequent remediation activities.


  • Drilling activities including advancement of direct push soil borings, logging of soil, field screening, installation of groundwater monitoring wells and temporary well points for groundwater sampling. Experience with subsurface utility location and identification as well as hand clearing via air knife/vacuum extraction; and various drilling methodologies including: GeoProbe, air rotary, mud rotary, roto-sonic, and hollow stem auger.
