  • At Steves & Sons, I served as an engineer and fabricator, specializing in glue spreaders
  • My primary objective was to construct these machines from scratch, involving extensive fabrication work
  • Often, the glue spreaders obtained from auctions were in poor condition, with significant rust and missing vital mechanical components
  • To address this, I meticulously disassembled the machines, salvaging usable parts and storing them in labeled boxes
  • I took precise measurements and documented the dimensions of chrome rollers and applicator rollers
  • Once all the components were organized, I restored them by removing glue and rust, meticulously priming and painting them until they appeared brand new
  • While waiting for the paint to dry, I assessed which components could be fabricated in-house and which ones needed to be ordered, ensuring a seamless workflow
  • After cleaning and painting all the parts, I commenced the assembly process, meticulously welding, fabricating, or replacing any missing or broken components
  • With the aid of a rough blueprint, I determined the sizes and dimensions of most of the absent mechanical parts and efficiently made alterations when necessary.

06.2018 - 03.2019
  • At NISSEI, I was responsible for engineering and constructing hybrid injection molding machines
  • These machines ranged from 300 to 600 letter molds
  • First, I would meticulously clean and secure the hydraulic tank to the frame using a 40-ton crane and appropriate lifting equipment
  • Next, I would attach and tighten all the valves and hydraulic lines on the injection side of the hydraulic tank
  • Subsequently, I would connect the motors and hydraulic pump mounts
  • Once the hydraulic pumps and motors were assembled, I would carefully position and secure them on the motor mounts located on the injection side
  • Moving forward, I would connect the hydraulic lines to the hydraulic pumps and proceed to assemble the injector using a crane and suitable lifting equipment
  • Once the injector was properly mounted on a large stationary mount, I would proceed to assemble all the water and hydraulic valves and lines
  • With this task completed, I would install the injection barrel by attaching it to the crane, lifting slings, and aligning it into the injector base
  • To ensure a smooth and flush fit, I would tighten it into place and attach the injector nozzle
  • Additionally, I would place the heater rings on the barrel, arranging them according to the thermal rod locations
  • Continuing the process, I would lift the preassembled injector with the 40-ton crane and carefully position it onto the frame, securing it firmly
  • Then, I would connect the hydraulic and water lines to the injector based on the provided blueprints
  • Once the injection site was preassembled, my focus would shift to the clamp side, attaching all the hydraulic lines to the pumps and motors
  • Following the preassembly, I would adjust the clamp using I-bolts and come along
  • Aligning the clamp to the frame by the blueprints would be the next step
  • Once both sides were assembled, we would join them together, run diagnostics, double-check all torques, and inspect for any potential leaks
  • These responsibilities provide a glimpse into the intricate details involved in the process.
