Worked as a Patrol Officer for 20 years which consisted of:

• Daily patrol of the City streets.
• Answering calls of service such as domestics, larcenies, burglaries, fights in progress, disorderly people, assisting people with advice, assisting with medical emergencies ect..
• Interacted with members of the public while on patrol or responding to calls.
• Conducted traffic stops and issued citations for violations of motor vehicle laws.
• Provided assistance at accident scenes including medical aid when necessary.
• Investigated suspicious activities, persons, and vehicles.
• Interviewed victims, witnesses and suspects in order to collect information about crimes.
• Performed crowd control duties at large events such as concerts or sporting events.
• Prepared reports on incidents encountered while on duty.
• Checked buildings and businesses after hours for security purposes.
• Supported positive relationships between community leaders and general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens and visitors.
• Responded to many critical incidents.
• Supervised Officers on a weekly basis when there was no Sargent on duty.
• Maintained proficiency in use of firearms through regular training exercises.
