Perform daily tasks of a commercial cow/calf operation with focus on low stress cattle husbandry of 2100 head of mother cows, first calf heifers and replacement heifers, 118 bulls, fences, and water tanks.

Duties performed but not limited to, herd health, vaccinations/worming, calving, tagging, doctoring, pairing out, all cattle movement on main ranch, forest permits and lease ground, sorting, shipping, pasture management, rotation, and record keeping. New construction and repair of barbwire, jack, post and pole fences, and corrals. Cleanliness, organization, repair and up keep of all barns and outbuildings.

Water tank installation, repair and maintenance.

Responsible for daily itinerary, organization, and communication with owners and team to be proactive and successful with all phases of the ranch, cattle rotation, irrigation, homes, lawns/tree, road maintenance and up-keep. Oversaw selection and purchases of routine supplies and vaccines. Worked within the parameters of budgetary goals set by owners to insure the standards of the ranch were met within their expectations.

Responsible for all aspects of a commercial cow/calf and registered Wagyu operation. Performed and directed team in record keeping, data input, low stress cattle handling, cattle and horse husbandry, herd health, calving cows and heifers, doctoring, pairing out, branding, shipping, sorting, vaccination/worming, semen collection, performed protocol for time breeding, heat detection, assisted vet. with embryo collection and transfer, pasture stewardship, rest rotation, record keeping, fence repair and new construction, daily lawn and home up keep, snow removal, and road repairs.

All phases of a 1700 head commercial cow/calf operation. Training, teaching inmates the skills to work in and apply new skills to the commercial cow/calf business from pasture to the rail. Instructed and performed low stress cattle handling, cattle and horse husbandry, herd health, pairing out, branding, shipping, sorting, vaccination/worming, semen collection, A.I. performed and instruction, preg checking, detection of sick calves and how to determine what antibiotics to administer, pasture stewardship and rest rotation, record keeping, fence repair and new construction. Repair, installation and up keep of all water tanks and spring development, etc.

Up keep and new construction of corrals barns and outbuildings. Starting colts and topping off horses for safe mounts for the crew.

All aspects of ownership of a equine business. Starting, training and topping of colts for myself as well as outside clients.
