Joseph Sutton

I Grew up in colonial Williamsburg and Fredericksburg Virginia all my life from 2003-2021. Growing up in these unique environments that are historically rich in colonial and civil war history is where my love and passion for learning history came from. Being raised in this atmosphere has only peaked my interest in the study of American history and serving my country in the United States Army to make my own mark in history. Today, I would label myself as a youngman who is hungry and eager to learn more about our countries, my own, and other people's history. I have four years of general labor experience from doing construction every summer and from time to time in the winter during the breaks from school. I’ve attended Liberty University from 2021-2025 studying History and I’m in the Army ROTC program at the school and will be commissioned as a 2nd LT in the Army Reserve Engineers. My hobbies include Hunting (in the Fall, Winter, & Spring), Fishing (Summer), Museums, Learning Cyrillic Languages, Learning Latin American Style Dancing, trail running in the mountains, and going on adventures with friends or by myself. I am a devout southern Baptist who is strong in my morales. In summary, I am a single man with nothing to lose looking for a job that will provide me with a job that will provide me with historical adventure, challenges to overcome, and a chance to learn more about Americas history to one day be a professor at a prestigious university to teach history with a Christian worldview to spread the good news of Christ. After attending career Liberties career center, visiting the history department almost weekly to interact with the Staff and faculty, and having very good experiences with all the History professors, this has only encouraged me to continue on the path that I am on for a career and in my life. I believe with the combinations of my life experiences, work ethics, and military discipline, I am able to become an asset to any team, program, or company that desires what I have to bring to the table.

Went to the international Sandhurst Military competition in the spring of 2024 and Army 4th brigade competitions in the Fall of 2023 & 2024

Personally have overcame set backs from life unfortunate circumstances and became stronger though it.
