• Gather and inspect equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
• Install rebar or concrete forms as needed, communicating with supervisor
• Spread and align forms, level and smooth concrete using variety of special equipment; mould expansion joints and edges; monitor effects of weather on concrete
• Communicate with concrete team about the timing and completion of each phase of the project
• Use power trowels and vibrating screeds to smooth freshly poured concrete
• Check the finished product to make sure it meets specifications
• Follow all industry and governmental safety standards.

• Built rock walls; grading specified area for decorative rock and planting at Point Defiance Park
• Used shovel and pick axe, to dig holes for planting of trees and bushes as well as trenches
• Worked well with team to complete projects within required timeframe and budget by working overtime.

• Digging and spreading dirt in order to level earth to find grade specifications
• Measuring distances from grade stakes, driving stakes and stretching tight line
• Signaling the operator of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjusting machinery to conform to grade specifications
• Training in interpreting complex construction drawings
• Performing general construction labor tasks including jobsite cleanup and moving of materials by hand
• Laying PVC pipe for footing and downspout drains, sewers etc.
