Africa for SDGs/My Goals Foundation
01.2017 - Current
  • Developed Africa for SDGs sustainability initiative in over 32 African countries, bringing together over 430,000 participants and trained over 50,000 leaders.
  • Managed the organization's financial resources and operations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness and provided oversight of all departments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • launched with the United Nations Volunteers Global State of the World Report in Nairobi in 2022.
  • Established a Sustainability hub in collaboration with Kenya's Ministry of Education: Kenya Education Management Institute, and UNESCO to promote Education for Sustainable Development to mainstream SDGs in learning institutions in Kenya and promote advocacy for education policies.
  • Established Africa for SDGs Fellows Program that has led to the incubation of seven sustainability start-up projects in collaboration with the local Universities, with one start-up winning the Clinton Foundation's Global Hult Prize of 100Million Dollars
  • Established a partnership with the Council of Governors to help create forums for dialogues and action on grassroots implementation of SDGs and community engagement through the County Integrated Development Program to promote Education policies and sustainability
  • Launched the Agile Self Reliance clubs in learning institutions to promote a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and encourage exchange programs between the students in Africa and the USA including market for products
  • Conducted a Mainstreaming Acceleration and Policy Support program at the UN House in Daresalam for 35 partners from governments and Civil Societies
  • Secured funding slightly over 200000$ from the Global South Finish initiative towards human rights based approaches and advocacy to build capacity in 12 Civil Society Organizations in Kenya and 4 in Uganda
  • Provided over 35,000 homes with solar light to support women in the Islands of Kenya during Covid pandemic

  • Established a Leadership and Entrepreneurship program in 17 African countries and a training partnership with Springdale College in Birmingham, UK leading to the graduation of over 77,000 women and youth with a professional Diploma
  • Established self-reliance community enterprise project which has over 8,000 individuals from underprivileged and underserved communities currently participating in various entrepreneurial projects for income generation and alternative livelihood in Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Liberia, and Rwanda
  • Developed a service learning program in Kenya that has seen over 5,500 unemployed youth from the informal settlements equipped with relevant employability skills that enabled them the job market hence improved standards of living and contributed to the reduction of poverty in their communities
  • Launched the Women in leadership and Entrepreneurship training in Africa while overseeing regional functions of the organization as well as the execution of all donor and other stakeholders’ expectations in all participating countries in Africa
  • 300 kitchen gardens were established in Zimbabwe, 3 bamboo planting programs in Kenya, a community Savings Cooperative for women living in poverty established and supported by the government in Tanzania out of this initiative
  • Attended events across country and internationally as company's representative, forming and sustaining strategic relationships with government agencies, civil society and the international communities
  • Launched peace and social justice programs in the 7 countries in Africa, monitored and evaluated the progress and process of each program in every country to ensure compliance with the various policies and donor expectations while staying up to date to resource mobilization geared towards fundraising to support local programs and establish partnerships

  • Provided technical advice and support related to the design and organization of the capacity development for Youth participation in Governance and Development for the Action Aid-Global Platforms in Kenya, Ghana, El- Savador, Nepal, Myanmar, Jordan and Zambia linking the programs to the various government agencies for interface
  • Represented the organization at the UN Open Working Group for accountability on SDGs in Johannesburg and thereafter ‘Generation2030’ a side event at the United General Assembly in New York
  • Provided trainings and effective supervision of the training activities on SDGs in Copenhagen and Odense in Denmark and ensured that they are conducted in line with international standards and best practices
  • Lectured undergraduate students on Leadership and Governance, Power and Voice, Economic Literacy Budgeting and Community Led Change Plan at the Action Aid’s Danish Training Center for Development and Cooperation (MSTCDC)
  • Initiated cooperation and Public Private Partnerships with government agencies in participating country partners and other technical experts and organizations in order to develop common activities and projects
  • Developed manuals on Community Led Participatory Change Plan and facilitated trainings for local authority in local communities
  • Represented Africa in lobbying European nations at the Danish Parliament to take action on Tax Justice after the Panama Leaks
  • Supported engagement of governments, civil society and other stakeholders in calling for better information on resources for poverty reduction and youth participation in participatory development and development.
