I've been with Metro for almost 9 years working on the Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA) program, with an additional 4 years at this program with the previous vendor. Over the last 13 years we have averaged 600 hours a year on each aircraft under my care. I have preformed extensive maintenance on the EC135 (T1, P1, and T2+) and the BK117 (B2 and C2e). During my time with Metro, I have been personally responsible for all activities taking place at my base to include parts, organization, maintenance planning, and leading the inspection and repair processes on my assigned aircraft. I have learned safety protocols and compliance standards that help make me stand out in the industry. I have led by example with every FAA visit, safety audit, and unscheduled airworthiness inspection noting my attention to detail and high standard of aircraft maintenance. My initial aircraft training was through military experience and completion of the A&P certification process. Since that time, I have gone on to improve myself by completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management with a 4.0 GPA and I am currently actively participating in the "Metro U" leadership courses. In my currently role I exercise leadership my mentoring those around me, I maintain all the online shared maintenance tracking sheets, I lead every troubleshooting event with a specialty in avionics and autopilot. I have also completely led the last several major maintenance events that have taken place in Franklin to include 1000 hour maintenance and engine module replacement. I love working with people, teaching and sharing knowledge, and empowering them to be the very best in their field. If given the opportunity to serve Metro Aviation as the SE RMM, I look forward working with each program to identify areas of potential growth and will work hard to equip each person under my charge with all the tools and knowledge to reach the next level. I love to help people succeed and look forward to the positive impact those actions will have on Metro Aviation.
With ERA I started out as a field technician working out of Port Fourchon, LA. I completed factory training on the EC225LP and an in house EC135 course. I also gained experience on the AW139 and S76. After 7 months there I transferred up to my current program. When ERA won the contract at MAMA, I was the only new addition to the program. I quickly became the "go to guy". I played a key role in the success of the program getting off the ground successfully with ERA as the new vendor. During this time I planned and scheduled all maintenance for both locations, was the primary troubleshooter, and carried the program as they become familiar with RAMCO maintenance tracking.
I completed a 13 month contract with L3 Vertex. I served as team lead in support of thirteen HH-60M model aircraft. During that time, I had the opportunity to fill several roles. I conducted the Production Control meetings each morning, opened and closed work orders, performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance (Unit level, Intermediate level, as well as MEC depot level repairs) and was in charge of running the 360 Hr and 720 Hr phases. During this time, I was put in charge and supervised as many as 21 employees. I enjoyed mentoring junior technicians on best practices for aircraft maintenance while fostering a culture of safety and quality.
I hold an Airframe & Powerplant Certificate as well as a Private Pilots Certificate. This combination has helped me have a real life knowledge and understanding that sets me apart from my peers.
