Implementing built-in quality by designing new in-line Poka-Yoke fixtures and camera vision systems reduced customer warranty costs by over 90% across nine companies in ten different countries, with no increase in production time.

* Pioneered cost savings of $160 million from a $200 million lawsuit by designing and implementing several computerized quality inspection stations and non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies. Additionally, restructured layered process audits (LPA), the use of Gemba walks, and provided cross-functional training on various Kanban just-in-time (JIT) systems, resulting in a 96.3% reduction in internal quality defects (13,000 PPM reduction) and a 29.1% improvement in manufacturing throughput.

* Achieved over $82.4 million in scrap reduction and improved downtime by an average of 80% by implementing laser measuring equipment for real-time statistical process control (SPC) data with automatic offsets to prolong tool life, value stream mapping, and ready-made changeover carts.

* Transitioned multiple facilities to a comprehensive bilingual IATF-16949, VDA, ISO-9001, AS9100, and ISO-13485 Global Quality Systems, incorporating standards and other necessary documentation. This included a complete restructuring of corporate operations (quality cultural change) for processes and procedures for control plans, preventive maintenance (PM), supplier audits, standard operating/work procedures (SOP/SWP), material review board (MRB), voice of the customer (VOC) with warranty review, 6S, root cause and corrective action (RCCA) – (8D, CAR, CAPA, PDCA, A3), measurement systems analysis (MSA) - (CMM, gauge R&R, capability studies), and a real-time computerized metric production board for tracking KPIs, along with daily production reviews and monthly management reviews, were established, resulting in only minor findings during the transition and annual recertification audits.

* Championed Kaizen events for new ERP systems (SAP and Oracle), purchase price variance (PPV) projects, streamlined the advanced product quality planning (APQP) procedures by remapping all gates from design to finished product to include new product safe launch (PSL), engineering change notifications (ECN), process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA), and the entire PPAP process.

* Possess international and domestic start-up and new product launch experience as Vice President and Director for American, French, German, Japanese, and Chinese parent companies, overseeing factory construction from a green-field site to securing over $2.6 billion in new contracts within twenty-four months.
