
A international expert on education, being traveling in more than 46 countries and working and studying in 9 different countries such as Mexico, United States of America, Spain, Hungary, India, South Korea, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Qatar.
• Manage the First Year Experience programs including New Student Orientation and the Peer Mentoring Program.
• Serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate students.
• Teach a maximum of two sections of first year seminar courses each semester.
• Oversee curriculum planning for the UNV 100 and other first year seminar courses.
• Assist in the creation and facilitation of departmental assessment of programs, fiscal spending, and activities.
• Maintain accurate student records for advising, grading and attendance, and submitting grade reports within the
established deadlines.
• Monitoring campus climate through student organizations and peer mentors for critical issues such as racism,
harassment, etc. which may negatively affect students’ ability to achieve their educational objectives.
• Peer mentoring program: Training sessions for mentors, weekly meetings and activities for new students.
• Develop and maintain recruitment, selection, and training process for the peer mentor para-professional student
positions.
• Serve as the liaison between students and Director of Student Success, and senior leadership.
• Approve new and returning student organizations registration and provide semester trainings for all student leaders.
• Serve as a conduct hearing officer for student conduct hearings in place of the Director of Student Success when
needed.
• Assist in administering student discipline for the campus student organizations including the development of polices,
investigating cases, holding hearings, filing reports.
• Create and promote an environment which supports student growth and development.
• Assist the Director of Student Success in developing policies, updating the Student Handbook, and developing strategic
plans and reports.
• Demonstrate a professional attitude, philosophy, and commitment which promotes student development and learning.
• Assist with student activities, graduation, and event planning.
• Serve as a member of various committees, as assigned.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Success.
• Serve as Acting Director in the absence of the Director of Student Success.
