High-school athlete and honor student. Full academic scholarship to ETSU. Had a kid my freshmen year and decided to get a job rather than continue school. Worked in a couple manufacturing facilities during the Great Recession, got laid off due to large layoffs or seasonal jobs. Started at Oldcastle (was Vistawall) in 2005. I've progressed up through the company with patience and willing to continue to learn. Operator->Tech->Lead Tech->Supervisor->Manager. Had 8 different managers during my 6 years of being a supervisor. Learned not to rely on anyone and my employees are my number 1 asset. Work become a lot simpler then. I finally got my chance at management in 2018. Since then my productivity numbers have improved significantly, we have met or exceeded all KPI's year after year. Have managed 5 different departments over 5 years. Was given extra departments during times of that department's decline to help them recover. Always took on the extra work for the opportunity to learn and assist our plant. I have a total of 12 years of management experience, working in experience driven, physical, fast paced production environments. Very quick and calculated decisions made on the fly (short interval control boards).
