Must fill in and run equipment when operators are absent. Making sure all
environmental standards are kept and met. Organize and maintain a three
week outlook on future work to perform. Collect time cards and ensure
employees payroll is correct. Complete all daily foreman reports and safety audits. Perform at least ten safety audits per month. Maintain a AWARDS
positive work attitude and keep crew motivated.
As a 25c I was responsible for all radio communication equipment. Equipment included, Army/Navy Personal Radio
Communication model 118, this is a short wave, line of sight radio that
has a typical battery life of up to 3 days, can be used in a manpack, vehicle LANGUAGES
mount, and stationary configurations. This radio has the ability to hold
Communication- Security Keys, Frequency Hop between 200 frequencies
in a minute, and can also be used to receive and retransmit radio English
messages.
Army/Navy Personal Radio Communicator Model 148. This is a handheld,
shortwave, line of sight radio. A range of up to 1 mile. A normal battery life
of 3-4 days depending on usage. This radio has capabilities such as Single
Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (Sincgars), Frequency Hop, and secure and plain text modes (secure, non-secure).
Army/Navy Personal Radio Communicator Model 150. This is a Satellite
Communication System. Cable of many functions, and able to communicate all over the world. This system can be connected to a
Computer system, running windows and the Harris Communication
program. This radio can make phone calls to cellphones and landlines,
can send text messages to cell phones and computers, it also has the ability to send small data packages, such as location coordinates or
encrypted communication keys. Use of Army Blue Force Tracker, which is
a GPS orientated map recognition unit, which typically runs on the Red
Hat OS or the Linux OS. This equipment is mainly used for the tracking and navigation of units in the field. They can send and receive maps,
locations, unit numbers, and enemy location. It is used both as a vehicle
mount and as a singular location based unit.
Also received cross training, which included, preparing and maintaining
network switches, both Nipr and Sipr. Knowledge of basic computer
maintenance and troubleshooting network and hardware problems.
Systems included Windows Vista and Windows 10. Comprehensive
knowledge of U.S. Army networking programs. Was responsible for ensuring that SIPR network was working at all times. Installed Army
Golden Warrior Program, which is the base operating guidelines for all
computer systems allowed on any and all military networks. This was
done without supervision and must be done with no mistakes, as it is
mission essential. The main switch that i was around was a Cisco 3950.
Able to perform a manual shutdown, as well as being responsible that all
Cat-5 Cables were in the right port, when a cable was moved, i was
responsible of using a tone finder to find where the new port was at in the building, and setting it back to its original destination.
I was responsible for over four hundred thousand dollars worth of communication equipment with zero losses during my service
