- On my Freshman cruise, I learned about the basic operations of a ship whilst underway and in port, the duties required of a watch stander for both Deck and Engine, how to handle lines while disembarking and making fast, and maintenance of many important pieces of machinery for both Deck and Engine.

- I worked for Almeida Consulting and Training which was contracted to record data about the amount of people wearing seatbelts and distracted drivers in multiple different locations in Washington State by the Washington State Department of Transportation. I manually entered data into an app on an Ipad for 1 hour at each location. I worked for 10 hours a day for 12 days during the month of June.
