Perform various maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient travel for the citizens and visitors of Michigan on state-owned roads. My duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the road surface
• Removing ice, snow, litter, and debris from the roadway
• Repairing and maintaining traffic control devices
• Cleaning and reseeding ditches
• Continuing education and training classes

Respond to emergency calls in the township and to mutual aid calls for neighboring areas. Some of my responsibilities include:

• Truck and equipment maintenance
• Extrication
• HazMat
• Medical emergencies
• Life and property preservation

Transport different commodities from the shipper to the receiver and keep track of paperwork. Other obligations were:

• Safe operation of a heavy commercial vehicle
• Troubleshooting small equipment issues
• Following local, state and federal laws and guidelines

Transport different aggregate from various quarries and storage yards to construction sites and service areas. My responsibilities were:

• Communication with the onsite foreman
• Correcting some minor equipment issues
• Safe operation of a commercial vehicle
