I accepted the position as the Sergeant of Zone 6's Community Response Team on 3/02/2025. My responsibilities for this position include monitoring and tracking the unit's statistics, maintaining and getting necessary equipment, reviewing all projects and search warrants prior to submission, and scheduling and managing work hours and days off according to the current mission.

During my time as the Community Response Team Sergeant, my team and I have heavily focused on working narcotics on our zone. Our team has completed 11 narcotics cases to date. During these cases, multiple search warrants for structures, storage units, electronics and GPS Tracking devices were submitted. These cases have resulted in the recovery of approximately 10 kilograms of cocaine, 125 grams of fentanyl, 706 grams of methamphetamine, 25 pounds of marijuana and 109 firearms. Additionally, our team has seized approximately $143,512 and 5 vehicles.

Upon being promoted, I was first assigned to a relief Sergeant position on Zone 5 from 8/21/2022 to 4/30/2023. I would then become the 7th Precinct Sergeant on "C" company from 4/30/2023 to 3/02/2025.

My responsibilities as a Patrol Sergeant included, daily briefings where crime patterns and plans of actions were discussed. Managing and scheduling officers' days off and their training schedules. Responding to calls for service and managing major crime scenes.

In September of 2023, I was tasked with supervising a group of officers to focus on high-crime areas on Zone 6 for four weeks. During the four weeks, this team was able to recover 26 firearms, 85 grams of meth, 70 grams of cocaine and 74 grams of fentanyl. Additionally 33 felony arrests were made, many of which were known gang members.

I joined the Columbus Division of Police on 12/21/2015. After completing the Academy and Field Training, I was assigned to the 7th Precinct on "C" company, where I would stay until my promotion to Sergeant.

My duties involved responding to calls for service and being proactive where I focused on narcotics and illegal weapons offenses. During my time as a patrol officer, I also joined the Division's Rifle Program.

As a patrol officer, I was able to do multiple temporary assignments with Community Response Team 5 where we focused on narcotics traffickers and criminal gangs.
