As a dedicated student at Stetson University with hands-on experience in legal case management, leadership, and political engagement, I am seeking a congressional internship to further develop my understanding of legislative processes and public policy. My background in advocacy and my leadership roles in both academic and extracurricular settings have equipped me with strong communication, research, and organizational skills that I am eager to apply in a congressional environment. Through this internship, I aim to contribute to meaningful legislative work while honing my skills in government operations.
My role as a Case Developer, I am responsible for managing the full life cycle of cases, from initial intake to final closure. I interact regularly with clients, assisting them with the paperwork necessary for claims and guiding them through the process. I communicate directly with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to ensure that all case materials are accurate and submitted within the required timelines. I work closely with attorneys, presenting detailed case synopses to ensure that all legal processes are followed. Additionally, I manage a wide variety of administrative tasks, including organizing case files and maintaining clear communication with clients about their case statuses. This position has strengthened my ability to prioritize tasks, manage a high volume of cases, and collaborate effectively with legal teams.
As a FOCUS Orientation Leader, I was part of a team that facilitated the university’s orientation program, guiding new students through their transition to college life. I led group activities, helping students navigate their academic, social, and personal journeys. I provided mentorship to new students, offering advice on how to succeed in both academic and social aspects of university life. This role also required me to collaborate closely with fellow leaders and university staff to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all incoming students. I developed strong communication skills and learned how to support and motivate individuals during a time of major change.
