• During my time at the Department of Corrections I have worked as a Correctional Officer. I have worked in all level custody from closed custody to minimum custody inmates. My duties include working in the intake, and processing of incarcerated individuals into the institution. I also have conducted safety checks, maintained daily logs, monitored inmate activities including church services and visiting, controlled inmate movement within housing units and yard movement, restrained combative inmates during emergency situations, monitored inmates emotional and mental health, transported inmates to outside medical and court appearances, provided supervisors with detailed report writing of inmate violations or incidents within the institution, and assisted medical with providing medications as prescribed. Currently I am working in the sally port monitoring inmate movement into and from the institution. I also search all vehicles, packages and mail.. entering the institution to eliminate the introduction of contraband or drugs into the institution.

I attended Lake Tahoe Community College studying general education. I attended this college during the last year and a half of high school to further challenge myself to succeed in my education. While I was here I achieved my Emergency Medical Technician Certificate

Graduated early with a high school diploma. This private high school allowed me to challenge myself by attending courses at Lake Tahoe Community College
