  • Erected structural steel and iron frameworks for bridges, buildings and other structures.
  • Cut metal components to required lengths using metal shears, hacksaws, and bar cutters.
  • Ensured structural integrity by properly installing and aligning steel components according to specifications.
  • As a journeyman ironworker I am tasked with running work on the job sight.
  • A journeyman is to make sure that as much steel is put in as possible daily, but most importantly, to push the apprentices, in a very fast passed BUT SAFE MANNER
  • Safety is the biggest part of the job, its already the hardest and most dangerous job in the world, its most important so teach safe work ethics, so that EVERY MAN GOES HOME SAFE!!!!!!!
