Skilled in composite/structure assembly/surface prep tasks such as hand layup, material cutting and trimming, mold and tool preparation, repairs, blending composite repairs, and using various materials such as carbon epoxy fabric weave, fiberglass, and honeycomb cores. Proficient in heat press machine operation, vacuum bagging techniques, supportive and non-supportive film adhesives for secondary bonding, debagging and deburring processes, die-grinder usage for sanding and removal of composite material, hand precision drilling with pneumatic drill motors, torque wrenches usage, safety wiring installation, HVLP paint spray gun setup and cleaning, Alodine/Chemfilm application, Eddie Bolt installation, manufacturing safety practices, shop math calculations, precision measurements using dial calipers and micrometers, reading engineering drawings and specifications, metal and composite surface preparation techniques such as cleaning, scraping, sanding, grinding to tight tolerances. Skilled in removing excess adhesives or debris from parts and applying various paints or coatings with even distribution. Prioritizes FOD awareness and adheres to project planning. Proficient in Microsoft Windows Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other general computer/internet skills required in the workplace.
