Joshua Kroll

During my time in the Oakland Community College Fire Academy, I gained a basic knowledge of truck operations and maintenance, fire suppression, vehicle extrication, fire behavior, building construction, search and rescue, salvage and overhaul, hazmat, and proper fire ground tactics and an understanding of my role in the chain of command. I am extremely excited to continue learning new firefighting skills and tactics and to serve and be part of my community. As someone new to fire fighting, I am eager to take direction and learn on the job from people I respect in the community and have years of job experience and knowledge. I am prepared to be part of a team of people looking to better the lives of others and to protect life, property, and the environment.
