Accomplishments

Throughout my tenure in the U.S. Coast Guard I attended numerous Law Enforcement courses ranging from

Tactical boat operations, advanced law enforcement techniques, hazardous material courses, incident response to terrorist bombings as well as several leadership and management courses to name a few.


I was the operations duty officer at U.S. Coast Guard Station Rockland during the tragic events of September 11 bombings of our country. I was instrumental in providing safety and joint operations with all local police and fire departments.


I successfully led numerous law enforcement, search and rescue and recovery operations notably a large multi unit aircraft search combining local and federal assets for the search and the recover of John F Kennedy junior.


While assigned and the Executive Petty Officer of U.S. Coast Guard Station Woods Hole I assumed the roles and responsibilities as Officer in Charge while the assigned member was away for 6 months.


I served as independent deputy for the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on the Island’s of North Haven and Vinalhaven. Serving as a sole deputy I often handled cases with no supervision or backup. I worked with town officials to ensure a working relationship and liaison for the Sheriff’s Office.
