Leading a cross functional time to deliver new manufacturing processes. This assignment is providing the opportunity for me to experience some of the newest technology Ford has in manufacturing while leading, mentoring and developing both manufacturing process and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities in this role consisted of absolute team work for all aspects of the plant. Having the responsibility for the Quality performance, metrics and not only for specific areas of responsibility (8F35/40 transmissions, 6R transmissions, BEV gear manufacturing) but also having the team responsible for the entire plants incoming supplier quality for Livonia Transmission Plant.
During this time frame, responsibilities varied as assignments changed but all focused on following the FPS, LQOS, Plant Process/Procedures to help lead a team to a positive outcome.
While filling the role of Manufacturing Quality Engineer, was responsible for all material processes from supplier raw material to internal control of process and direct contact to all customers.
In the Launch Quality Engineer role, responsibilities included delivery of a new Transmission Final Assembly Line and multiple Sub Assembly departments for all elements of the LQOS and establishing PRT meeting to review ECB's, Emerging Issues, Quality Confirmation Mapping, DCP, OIS/JSA's.
Quality Engineer in Supplier Quality responsibilities includes working with all facets of the part flow from supplier manufacturing processes thru warranty investigations.
Held multiple production level positions within this time frame. Lead Process Coach working to develop teams into common targets around Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Worked in multiple areas of the engine manufacturing process.
