Work History

Production Laborer / Production Line Leader

Associated Materials Inc
Fife, WA
06.2001 - 03.2025

Started in the saw shop, gathering the materials needed, then cutting and processing the materials. Over the years, I learned almost every aspect of vinyl sliding windows, double sliding windows, hung windows, and patio doors. I have worked in different window production areas as a regular employee and a production lead, including the in-house repair area.

Prior to becoming a Production Lead, while I was working in the saw shop area, I identified a large amount of material that was coming in damaged. I documented the damage and helped work with the company and vinyl vendor representatives to greatly improve their system of transporting the stock vinyl material.

As a Production Lead, I would oversee departmental activities per standard operating procedures (SOP).
Work with the other department leads and supervisors in the assignment and supervision of personnel to always achieve an efficient daily operation.
Assist the department supervisor to ensure that all manufacturing orders are followed through properly to completion, and that all audits are filled out correctly prior to being turned in.
Assists personnel in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments to perform work according to standard operating procedures.
Support the training and development of new and existing team members.
Adhere to all aspects of safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Operate electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment to cut, fasten, and assemble parts (e.g., drills, saws, caulking guns, etc.).
Make sure all equipment is inspected at the start of the shift and turned off at the end of the workday. Inspected finished products for defects, and ensured they met quality standards.
Maintained clean and organized work areas.
Collaborate with my team members to achieve production goals.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team and production supervisor.
Performed other duties as assigned.
