  • The lodge is a beach front property with 4 main ballrooms, as well as 7 additional conference meeting rooms. The banquet department of the hotel is also in charge of all off-site events, on the 2 boardwalks, as well as the state park. Being the Director, I oversaw all of these event challenges. Ensuring that our labor budget was within our metrics was also a top priority due to the fact that 80% of our staff was contracted labor. Having a great communication with the sales staff as well as the entire leadership team was a crucial part of the success of the banquet department.

I developed our department, handpicked, and trained over 30 staff members to exceed management expectations. We held a number one rating on Trip Advisor during my entire employment at this property. Department was closed due to COVID 19.
