My main responsibilities for this role include,

-Performing testing on required samples of thermoset plastic compound such as shrinkage, specific density, cure times of material, color values, and a quality of appearance. These measurements and values needed to be entered into a SPC program to ensure manufacturing process was operating as expected.

-Verifying equipment was set up correctly and that all raw materials for the product were on the correct line.

-Verify and approve finished materials to ensure they were labled per customer requirements.

-In the event of off-grade material being produced, I was to work with the production supervisor to troubleshoot and resolve the issue producing said off-grade material.

Secondary responsibilites include,

-Verifying incoming raw materials adhered to pre-determined specifications.

-Calibrating scales.

-Testing slurry solutions made in-house.

-Re-certifying or rejecting raw materials that have expired.

I have had several roles in the production department including,

-Extruder and Mixer operator.

-Resin operator.

-Forklift driver and material handler.

-Fill-in production supervisor.
