• Direct emergency management operations for WVU Medicine’s flagship and critical facilities, including:
  J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital (880 beds, Level I Trauma Center)
  WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital (150 beds)
  Fairmont Medical Center (expanding to 100+ beds)
  Chestnut Ridge Hospital (72-bed psychiatric/behavioral health facility)
  35+ outpatient clinics and ambulatory care sites

Emergency Response Leadership:

• Led The Hospital Incident Command through numerous incidents including a severe weather infrastructure disaster causing $3M+ in damages; authored comprehensive After-Action Reports and secured NWS StormReady certification.
• Managed national IV fluid shortage by assembling cross-disciplinary clinical review teams; implemented innovative rehydration protocols that produced cost savings and resulted in permanent policies.
• Presented as a featured speaker at a national association of healthcare professionals, sharing lessons learned and best practices in emergency response and mitigation strategies.

Preparedness & Regulatory Compliance:

• Chaired the Emergency Preparedness Committee; developed and implemented 35+ Business Continuity Plans and Hazard Vulnerability Analyses (HVA).
• Coordinated successful Joint Commission, CMS, and Trauma Center accreditations with zero deficiencies.
• Oversaw the transition to a new emergency alert notification system, enhancing organizational readiness and communication.

Special Pathogens Unit Leadership:

• Spearheaded the development and ongoing leadership of the Special Pathogens Unit—one of only 13 federally designated Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Centers in the U.S.—significantly advancing national readiness for infectious disease outbreaks, including Ebola.
