• I and 5 other engineers were tasked with creating a ping pong ball launcher capable of identifying a target 3-5 meters away using a camera to recognize both the distance and angle of target with respect to the launcher. This launcher would then run a code, calculating the proper horizontal and vertical launch angle in order to finally launch the ball into the target. This project required the ability to work and compromise with others in order to reach an affordable design and produce said design within a time limit. Additionally, we were required to make the design for a specific hypothetical child with a certain motor and mental disability and to run quality checks to ensuring the safety, usability, and enjoyability of the launcher.
• Solo project in which I was tasked with creating a automatic rotating sample tray with a sensor capable of identifying different materials based on their light reflection of different LED light colors. The device then had to accurately determine and display the item being sensed using a dial.
