Peer Mentors work directly with new students to provide emotional support and validation; assist mentees in navigating campus systems and resources; and help their peers become more engaged in the campus community.

• Build relationships with assigned mentees by leading one-on-one or group meetings, and coordinating presentations/outreach/events as needed
• Work with mentor supervisor(s) to ensure mentees who need additional support are directed to the appropriate services and resources
• Demonstrate support for diversity, equity and inclusiveness and participate in maintaining a respectful, positive work environment

We engage all generations of learners – sharing the excitement of engineering through on-campus tours, presentations, and events within the community.

Ambassadors strive to execute this through the effective communication of technical information to a wide variety of audiences while providing and developing valuable personal and professional relationships.

Provide exceptional customer service as the primary source for all inquiries regarding Housing & Residential Life. Maintain positive report with residents on-campus, ResLife staff, and other UNLV Departments. Promote all things related to UNLV Housing to current students & residents, incoming students & their parents/guardians, and prospective students & their guardians through the use of promotional resources, special campus events, and guides tours. Maintain a general understanding of both Mail and Desk functions to assist residents, if needed, in other facets related to Housing Operations.
