I was a contractor working for a chemical plant called Dow Seadrift, my role was to fill out paper work before starting the job I would write down all the tasks I was doing and completing them safely. Then I would start the job either grinding or sandblasting and we would prime and coat using either a paint brush or sprayer

• Reviewed work order documents, technical models and requirements and specifications to complete precise cuts and achieve accurate results.
• Established containment barriers around areas where blasting was taking place.
• Inspected parts before and after sandblasting process to ensure quality control standards were met.
• Safely operated equipment to set up and prepare area for blasting.
• Cleaned and maintained all sandblasting equipment after each job was completed.
• Ensured that proper protective clothing was worn during any operation involving hazardous materials such as silica-based media or chemicals.
• Performed daily maintenance checks on machinery before use in order to identify potential issues.

• Performed physical activities requiring heavy lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time.
• Maintained clean, safe working environment by removing debris from job site prior to shift completion.
• Operated and maintained a variety of equipment including hand and power tools.
• Sorted and placed materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins to keep warehouse organized.
• Worked productively as lead or helping team member to drive customer satisfaction.
• Performed regular servicing and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Lubricated and cleaned machinery and tools.
• Loaded materials and tools into vehicles and unloaded upon arrival at jobsites.
• Prepared items for transportation installing bracing, padding and strapping to prevent damage.
