
I worked in medical field for 15 years l wanted to be a Dr as I was growing up l never had chance to attend college because l had a child l picked nurse aide because class was quicker jobs opportunities. My goals are to go back to school and become a registered nurse.
I worked in food service and served patients trays and took orders and made sure they were satisfied with their service.
I worked with this company for three years, They is a agency and trained employees with hands-on experience with registered nurses teaching. Our training involved vital signs, cpr first aide, transferring patients in out of the wheelchair , bed, shower,and how to walk on the side with stroke patients how to use hoyer lift , sliding boards.With this company l have worked in homes,nursing homes, and retired facilities. I trained with hospice patients, dementia and bed written and according to the disability and medical care. By my prior experience in past it gave me better opportunity and moving forward. I been with this company over years it was my first nurse aide employment. It helped me grow and learn from my experience with different clients and their mobility. My work performance was bathing, showers, changing clothes , skin and oral care, feeding preparing meals, turning positions, changing lining, errands and appointments, vital signs giving meds , activities and exercises ,walks , and transferring patients from bed to wheelchair and walkers doing notes cleaning laundry and vacuum.
