I worked with the Section 8 Housing Program with a caseload of over 410 clients/participants. Conducted monthly and interim recertifications, as well as ensuring the precise and prompt issuance of housing assistance payments. I managed daily interim recertifications to ensure timely adjustments to household income and composition, resulting in accurate assistance payments.
I addressed incoming phone calls and emails daily, ensuring that concerns were resolved promptly and efficiently. I documented and filed in clients file on a regular basis. I updated the clients file in the housing software system. I utilized the scanning and electronic filing system on a regular basis.
I Correspond with clients via email and mail to schedule appointments. I communicated with landlords and rental agencies frequently to respond to any concerns regarding the assisted client with rental payments and their concerns regarding the Section 8 Program.
I calculated rental assistance and any overpayments that the client may have incurred during the recertification period. Usually, overpayment that the client owed is for not reporting all income changes. The client would have to repay debt; I did the calculation and the repayment agreements.
I adhered to the HUD regulations and guidelines in accordance with established policies and procedures.
I provided professional and courteous customer service. I conducted my duties in a manner that safeguarded the public trust and preserved the integrity of the programs and projects that I was managing.
