I learned how to not only study music upon first getting it, but also how to teach that information to the people in my section in order to ensure that there were no misunderstandings about where certain dynamics or techniques needed to come into play. Being section leader of 2nd violin this year in Newsome's chamber orchestra this year and concert master in the freshman orchestra last year not only has taught me leadership skills, but also how to effectively explain how to play a piece or part of one in a way that makes sense and is easy to understand.
