Sort and Stack packages to meet loading/unloading goals of the day
Be attentive to not stack hazardous boxes in a prohibited area of the trailer
Remove defective non-hazardous products, placing them on conveyors
Resolve conveyor system issues by clearing jams and blockages
Load and unloaded shipments from trucks and picked up heavy packages using team lifts
Scan and sort packages according to destinations using handheld scanners
Inspected packages for damages or defects and recorded any issues found as well ensuring compliance with postal regulations regarding hazardous materials handling
Organize packages according to type, size, destination, and other specifications
Collaborate with team members on tasks such as team lifting heavy package's, and unloading trailers in a timely manner
Open new trailers that have arrived by pulling off the safety tag and removing the hatch lock, pulled heavy packages and hazmats out of the trailer, and set up the roller belts so when that when the package handlers arrive the truck has been safely set up and is ready to be unloaded
Close trailers locking the hatch and closing both trailer doors that have been successfully unloaded so that the trailer can be moved and another trailer can be put in the current spot to be unloaded next
