Gained proficiency in lighting controls and troubleshooting errors during apprenticeship, ensuring reliable system performance.
In my fourth year I ran a bunch of 3 & 4-inch conduit, made up electrical rooms, pulled feeders, wired up panels and pulled their homeruns.i got my journeyman's and shortly after became a foreman at Crowley HS, this is where I learned how to build morale, encourage good work ethic, punish bad, manage inventory, plan ahead and make the most out of 12/16 first years that were on my crew, some of which now outwork 2 5th years.
As a second year I gained experience running my own crew, first starting with 2-3 guys at the TCU Saddler hall project and later went on to 5-7 people if not 14 at Eagle Mountain high school when my foreman at the time would call in sick or just miss a lot of days which is where i cemented most of my knowledge of lighting controls and troubleshooting until my mid third year.
I have experience with exhaust fans, VAV's, Rooftop units and verifying that the sized wire pulled to them is suitably rated for the amperage shown on the nameplate.
Read prints to verify installations met height and location specifications while coordinating with other trades to prevent conflicts.
I am confident in my pipe bending skills and my ability to teach others in EMT, RMC/plastibond, PVC, and FMC and the means of properly securing them.
Referenced code book and coordinated with trades and superintendent to resolve questions and ensure compliance.
