Assist with maintaining and providing safe and reliable transportation of natural gas. Support crews by performing manual excavation, operating pneumatic equipment, and delivering materials for the maintenance of gas facilities. Assist in the performance of regular and scheduled maintenance on company facilities Operate company vehicles and heavy machinery. Order materials needed for daily activities. Assist in leak investigations, grading, detection, and surveys. Support in valve inspections, drip monitoring, and tightening, adjusting and repairing leaks found on natural gas facilities.

Responsible for maintaining a safe and reliable gas delivery system. Investigate, identify, and repair gas leaks on company piping systems and respond promptly to reports of escaping gas. Investigate, identify, and make safe all reported gas leaks. Assist supervisor in preparing and monitoring daily work activities. Coordinate personnel and job site activities during emergency response situations in the absence of a supervisor. Assure that work is completed within given compliance related time-frame. Responsible for overall safety of job site situations. Supervised activities performed by other members on the crew.

Responsible for personal and job site safety situations. Retrieve the necessary tools and equipment to perform repairs. Maintained equipment to prevent hazardous situations. Operate power tools which included:

breakers, hammers, clay spade, drills, cutters, saws, etc. Dispose of excess debris properly to meet EPA and other federal standards. Followed guidelines pertaining to OSHA 1926 and DOT 192 standards.

Use a lap-top computer or other electronic devices to receive, document and close out excavation notices. Read and interpret utility maps / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities. Utilized assigned communication equipment to effectively communicate with excavators, utility representatives, and company personnel, regarding underground facilities. Operate different electronic detection equipment to locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits
