OSHA 10.....Basic Plus.....TWIC Card. Proficient in industrial construction with 19 years experience in the industry from painting/sandblasting to some rigging work and building a boiler, to doing now what I enjoy, millwright work. I am a reliable worker with a strong mechanical aptitude and a love of working outdoors and getting my hands dirty. I enjoy the work I do and I bring a good attitude wherever I go. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf and doing outdoor activities with the family. D.O.B 08/13/1981...I can set any piece of equipment on any coordinates Using any prints you have in either metric or standard, and align any coupling Using a laser or my indicators. I can also set any sized skid with my 98's and a "p" level, if the skid is that big and a 'p' level is necessary. Set the d.b.s.c, Using some 36" inside mic's, no problem. Like I said, I enjoy this work. I have also had the privilege to set a couple flares over 200ft high. GOD bless
Worked building a direct-air-capture facility. DAC-1. Performed preventative maintenance weekly on all equipment on-site. Set pump and motor skids, leveled, centerlines and alignments. Assisted riggers in setting large vessels tanks and exchangers. Set to elevation on shims and centerlines and plumb.
Worked on converting an old chemical plant into a bio-degradable diesel fuel plant. Set new skids with pumps and motors and did the usual, set and level and elevation, pre alignments and final alignments and eventually pipe stress. Set a decanter centrifuge, leveled, set belt tension. Did alignment. Took apart some old valves to re-fab. Replaced worn out parts, re-packed and then re-installed.
Layouts and shooting in of shims to set skids and exchangers vessels and tanks. Leveling of equipment and placing on centerlines. Alignments using indicators and laser at final. Performed pipe stress with the fitters and welders. Getting our gap even to bolt up the pipe while watching with indicators on the hub of the pump.
Worked building a methanol plant. Set equipment, tanks vessels exchangers all on centerlines and elevation and plumb if needed. Set skids and leveled with precision tools. Did pre alignments and final alignments and eventually pipe stress. Checked for voids in skid bases and any found, filled with epoxy. Removed jack bolts and applied silicone to holes.
Did layouts to set equipment and used dirt level to set in shims using previous bench marks set up by surveyors. Performed pump motor alignments. Set equipment and put on centerlines and elevation and level and plumb if needed. Performed preventative maintenance occasionally
Worked on 6 large Mitsubishi compressors and motors. Was a 36" coupling between the 6 pumps and motors at a new construction LNG plant in Surfside Tx with 32" suction and discharge, did the alignments and pipe stress. After that I rolled into commissioning and started doing hourly runs at various pumps and motors bump checking them and running them for an hour documenting bearing temperatures and base vibrations. Made sure every pump and motor had the appropriate amount of oil and grease. Repaired any leaks or issues involved with start up of equipment, i.e removing seals and installing new ones. Walked down all lines before doing any work on any equipment through lock out tag out.
Layed out locations to drill bolt holes for skids, set skids assisted by the riggers. Set all skids to elevation and centerlines and sid alignments using indicators and a laser at some points. Set tanks and vessels and exchangers all on centerlines and plumb and level.
Set equipment using precision tools. Performed alignments using rotalign plus. Did commissioning at the end, made sure proper amount of oil and grease were in all pumps and motors. Performed bump tests and took continuous bearing temperature checks and vibration checks on the base every 10 mins for 1 hour. Had to walk down lines prior to every job.
Broke down a turbine and put it back together. Checked clearances and gaps in some areas before removing for engineers and for references when putting back together.
Set various pieces of equipment on elevations and centerlines to sell to client, did alignments with rotalign touch lasers to sell to client. Performed this work using various hand tools and precision tools.
Set a lot of rollers using blueprints to set on coordinates, leveled using 98s and used hi-torq to tighten down. Did alignments using rotalign touch ultra. Worked alongside engineers and reps to sell equipment and alignments.
Set turbine and compressor skids with dirt level and "P" level and did alignments with rotaligns. Oversaw pipe stress. Set rails for overhead crane using piano wire and dirt level. Involved with some preventive maintenance (PM).
Rigged on large wind turbine pieces to remove from rail cars and walked crane around yard to lay down pieces (fan blades, tower sections, cells) until trucks came to get loaded. Used 12 ton fork lift everyday.
Set equipment on centerlines and elevations going off drawings. Worked alongside other crafts to complete jobs. Used dirt level to shoot in shims to elevation or to transfer benchmarks. Worked on some pumps removing the housing and impellers to change mechanical seals.
Worked to put 2 boilers together from the ground up, installing and fitting together the attics the basements and the body of boiler along with working inside these areas to install stainless steel wall panels and insulation, to welding and killing 1,000's of nuts and bolts. A lot of fabrication of steel to make pieces "fit" or "work".
Did alignments on a lot of pumps doing double reverse alignments to sell to client, came back later to do pipe stress. Assisted with oil flush on night shift. A lot more cleaning and learning.
Worked on the turbine deck doing a lot of cleaning, honing and learning. Was able to do some alignments using a-line's.
Worked in the paint/sandblast shop maintaining all the tools and equipment and receiving orders all while sandblasting and painting any and all pieces that were brought to me from throughout the plant site or if they were not transferrable I would go and set up hooches, of various sizes to contain the contaminents from blasting and would set up to paint afterwards with an airless sprayer or conventional pot.
