When not fighting wildfires we spent our time doing grade projects which entailed creating fire breaks around properties, parks and roads. Vegetation removal in ditches and various other water systems, I’m very competent with chain saw, Pulaski, mccloud, weed eater, hedge trimmer, pick shovel, rock bar, rake. We spent a lot of time felling dangerous trees and bucking and limbing them and chipping them. I spent many hours of the day carrying stumps well over 75 pounds up hills and mountains. Although this was the hardest job that had ever done it was also the most rewarding because I was giving back to the community. I’d like to get that feeling once again by working for my own county. I’ll give you all I got if given the opportunity.
