• 05/2021, Present, Production Supervisor, JENSEN PRECAST, Lead the activity of employees, provide assistance to workers and foreman, troubleshoot worker and production problems. Recommending advice and solutions to problems throughout the precast process. Train and ensure workers know how to properly operate machinery while adhering to our safety standards. Participate and oversee the production process from start to end through the day to ensure we develop a quality and to spec product. Supervise the foreman running the production floor, as well as doing the interviewing, hiring, planning, and assigning work for each department. Organize product schedules coming from the production manager to ensure each team is well informed on the tasks and deadlines set for the day.

If there are any issues with the concrete we poured the day before, review and discuss with the team what we can improve on. Train employees on new products and ensure they understand the goal times and quality expectations. Motivate the team with words of encouragement and an overall good attitude through our morning huddles. Also check-ins throughout the day to keep morale high. Delegate projects to employees that I see best fit. When there are unexpected delays, I get with the other department foremen to communicate what we can best do to be on the same page or how we can assist each other’s department. Attend scheduled meetings to improve on lean manufacturing throughout the facility.

Working within a team to meet the demands of 1000 pies, and 1300 bags of biscuits per night. Keep the work area clean and wash trays in between tasks to keep trays available to use!
