  • Responsible for unloading train cars and trailers with materials for the project. Had to label them, put them into inventory, and organize them according to their part numbers. To unload, we used overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Coordinated with my supervisor and the project leaders to follow a sequence for the blocks I had to prepare for delivery to the warehouses. I prepared the blocks on pallets, with material cuts needed at another yard. We sent the material in trailers to Louisiana or Houston, organized by block sequence and material weight.
  • Coordinated with the painting supervisors. They would give me a priority list of plates, angles, and beams that needed to be painted, following the project sequence. We had to deliver these to the painting warehouses.
  • Coordinated with the welding supervisors to provide them with the material and the press cuts they needed for the project. At the same time, we kept an inventory of the beams, plates, and materials for the entire yard, organizing them by order and labeling them accordingly.
