Due to personal experiences, it's an honor to learn, participate and invest in Public Safety services.
In addition, working with children is very fulfilling.
It's been a blessing to have had incredible inspiring teachers and bosses thorough school and work. It has helped myself to grow into a driven, hard working and companionate person.
I have traveled across the United States for the past 8 years to support my partner's career in the Coast Guard. Between having children and constant relocations, it has made it very difficult to maintain the same job or grow in my career field. Currently moving to Sun Prairie looking for a less nomad life style. We look forward to grow steadily and put down roots in the Madison area.
My oldest daughter and I, really enjoy volunteering together. We bring food to food banks and homeless shelters. We like to pick up trash at the park. We also love buying toys and other hygiene needs to bring it to the children's hospital and to our local foster care system like the Salvation Army. It's a great opportunity to give back to our community and to teach my daughter to think about others. Reminding us both to be grateful for what we have and be expose to different environments, helping her comprehend and gain sympathy for other people's lives.
I was part of the Connecticut Coast Guard Spouses Club during the government shutdown of Dec 2018 - Feb 2019. We put together meal trains, bought and delivered food to families in need. We also unloaded trucks of food donated by our local food banks and put together a pantry inside the Coast Guard Academy in New London CT. Coast Guard families were able to walk in and grab as much food as wanted during said government shutdown.
