As the English Language Learners (ELL) Coordinator, my responsibilities are to provide direct and indirect program support to advisory teachers and program support staff, and to provide consistent and effective services for students in the district who speak a language other than English. This position advocates for the needs of MLs at the district level by attending department meetings and sharing strategies to support English language development. Responsible for submitting the annual LIEP, and for the development and implementation of high-quality instruction and curricular programs to support English Language Learners. Administrative duties include test coordination for the annual WIDA Access for ELs, while overseeing communication with DRC, and state special populations leaders.
