  • Transitioned stress testing from a model of physician supervision to RN supervision using ADKAR model. Lean six sigma tools used to validate new flow, to validate the safety of the new model, to identify risk factors, and to develop a "time out" screening tool.
  • Sucessfully gained AAVCPR Program Certification in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
  • Increased Medical Nutrition Services appointment availability by increasing scheduled offerings and organizing unscheduled visits based on data analysis and historical patterns.
  • Coordinated interdepartmental team to implement VA Sleep Lab program. This program increased volumes and revenue without increased staffing. (Q1=308) (Q2=306) (Q3=347)
  • Assumed responsibility for Audiololy services with goal of transitioning from a provider based service to a hospital based service. The transition is still in progress. ADKAR and Lean Six Sigma tools have been used to successfully implement improvements in documentation efficiency, billing accuracy, and scheduling. Support staff has been transitioned to a certified audiology assistant allowing the Audiologist to work at the top of her license with non skilled services to be delegated to the audiology assistant. Through 11/13/24 this service has exceeded 2023 YTD values by $47,178 (25%) in total billing, and has increased the average revenue per visit from $230 to $295 (with existing provider billing model).
  • Implemented Cross training for RN positions between Cardiac Rehab and Cardiac Testing.
  • Revised facility-wide Emergency Preparedness program, including new Emergency Operations Activation and new Emergency Quick Guide.
  • Implemented training for all IUH Morgan leadership in emergency operations activation, including completion of NIMS 100 and 200 levels.
  • Instituted pre planning for known events using NIMs fundamentals.
  • Organization and oversight of emergency preparedness planning for the total eclipse in April 2024.
  • Organization and completion of IUH Morgan Participation in Community Wide Functional Haz Mat Drill and District wide Table top drills
