  • My work involves supporting a level 1 trauma program to maintain its level 1 trauma accreditation with the American College of Surgeons.
  • Analyze program effectiveness through feedback collection, leading to improvement service delivery models.
  • Facilitate and keep strong relationships and partnerships with local organizations such as the NCTTRAC to expand outreach efforts and resource availability.
  • Coordinate large-scale events such as the Annual EMS Skills Lab that showcase the hospital's mission and services, attracting new supporters and raising awareness about key issues.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to staff members.
  • Develop outreach strategies and maintain relationships with many EMS & Fire agencies in Tarrant County including the hospital’s main source of patient transports, Fort Worth Fire & EMS, through creating educational outreach.
  • As the hospital’s primary content expert and liaison, I work with the TMD and trauma PI team by reviewing patient care reports and offering constructive feedback to develop educational referrals and maintain loop closure on all EMS performance improvement issues.

  • Performed duties associated with firefighting tactics including engine and truck company operations within a structured response system, responding to approximately fifteen thousand fire and EMS calls department wide at the Lewisville Fire Department, which was an ISO 1 rated fire-based EMS agency.
  • Responded to emergency calls, providing immediate assistance in fire suppression and rescue operations.
  • Drove and operated structural pumpers, tankers, ladders, and service vehicles to aid in rescue operations.
  • Conducted regular inspections of firefighting equipment, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.

I was a boat operator of “sea legs” boat at Lewisville Fire Department dive station #2 and boat operator of the fire department’s two “Boston Whaler” rescue boats on Lake Lewisville. To recognize and locate submerged victims in the water, I was trained and efficient in the operation of the Hummingbird Helix 1- sonar that each boat was equipped with.
  • Tactically trained in high winds anchoring, and “dog cage” operations, which consisted of a metal dog cage (visible to sonar) that was tethered to a buoy and placed as close to victims as possible for dive team. Shortly after becoming a public safety diver, I became certified as a swift water technician, which led to company citation for our crew at Station 2 on September 9, 2017, for rescuing two kayaker's who got trapped in a bad section of the Trinity River, all kayaker's were safely returned to shore.
