Massage Therapist
- Using SOAP Note to evaluate clients before and after the treatment In public clinic hours .
- Before given the client a treatment. Client name, date of birth and medical history must be provided.
- The client will be ask what was the complaint of, what is the goal of massage? When did the complaint started? What pain scale the client feel from 0-10? Had the client receive a treatment, and what is being done for the issue. Is the issue affected the ADL's. Is the client seeing a doctor, taking meds, any allergies, disc/vert issue. When the last professional massage treatment? Areas to avoid? What pressure level that is appropriate from scale 1/10? Any other complaints?
- Before the treatment, it's important to observed the client if their is any sign of abnormalities. Then 50 min wellness massage given with the focus of variety of massage technique such as effleurage, petrissage, tapotement and other techniques depending on the client treatment.
- After the 50 min treatment, the client will be ask. What massage technique responded best during the treatment and what did not responded well to. Did the pain level change after the treatment? Is there any sign of change in posture, gait and range of motion?
- After the assessment, the client will be ask to drink water 8/10 oz. Of water within 24hrs. What to do for home/self-care exercise, when to return and suggestions.
