College:

• During my college career, I received academic honors one semester, and president’s list two semesters.

High School:

• During my high school career I was awarded a variety of honors. In relation to my nursing career, I was awarded the Robert Guy/Vela Johnson American Legion Nursing Scholarship. I also graduated with superior honors, beta graduate, as well as the dual-enrollment achievement award in which I did a certain amount of hours of college credit during my high school career. I also received a few non academic awards and titles during my high school career including Drum Major, and the John Phillip Sousa Band Award. Although these are not nursing or academic awards I feel they represent other important qualities for not only nursing, but an excellent employee in general. Drum major is the highest student leadership position given in band, therefore being awarded this title shows someone believed in my leadership qualities enough to trust I would fit the position. The John Phillip Sousa Award shows my dedication, and hard work I put into the things I do, as it took hard work to achieve this award.
