o Observe nursing workflow of start-up clinic and make recommendations to drive clinical adoption and patient engagement.

o Utilizes clinical autonomy as well as oncology-based expertise in order to implement clinical treatment plans to patients via phone triage according to physician and/or departmental protocols.

o Modifies treatment by assessing patient, assessing labs, and consulting protocols, alongside physicians.

o Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians, as well as monitoring patient responses to treatment.

o Provides education to patients and their family members on what to expect during treatment, how to optimize their treatments, how to maintain their health during treatments and possible side effects of these treatments.

o Administers intravenous chemotherapy, as well as other intravenous medications.

o Ensures efficacy of treatment regimens through monitoring treatment protocols / parameters.

o Modifies treatment dosages by assessing patient, respective labs, and consulting protocols, alongside physicians.

o Knowledge and familiarity with chemotherapeutic agents dosing, dilution, preparation, contraindications, and administration.

o Monitors patient reactions to infusions and administers appropriate emergency rescue medications alongside physicians.

o Educate patients and family members on what to expect during treatment, how to optimize their treatments, how to maintain their health during treatments and the possible side effects of these treatments.

o Stays current on the latest oncology nursing developments and participates in conferences

o Participated in a Beta Test Leadership Program at NYCBS with administrative leadership roles.
