As a sustainable agriculture intern, I am part of a cohort that plays a crucial role in the success of the Starker Arts Garden for Education (SAGE) at the Corvallis Environmental Center. This opportunity allows me to learn about small-scale agriculture, local hunger relief, educational gardening, sustainability, permaculture. As a part of the SAGE team, I aid in the growth of ~4 tons of food that the CEC donates every year to aid individuals and families suffering from food insecurity within the local Corvallis community.
As a dedicated Program Specialist within the Dialogical Programming Team at Community Engagement and Leadership, I am instrumental in advancing our mission to cultivate self-exploration, community-engaged learning, direct service, and advocacy within our broader community. Through our initiatives, we aim to foster the growth of leaders and change-makers, instilling a profound sense of responsibility for our environment and society. In this role, I spearhead the facilitation of impactful leadership workshops tailored to large audiences, providing participants with invaluable skills and insights to effect positive change. Additionally, I orchestrate and lead community dialogues focused on cultural and contemporary social issues, fostering meaningful discussions and empowering individuals to engage actively in their communities. During my time at Panera, I excelled in customer service by providing prompt, friendly assistance and addressing inquiries efficiently. Additionally, I developed strong time management skills, adeptly multitasking to handle food preparation, cash transactions, and operating the point-of-sale system.
